In 2017, Berg had the opportunity to work with The Wharf Ice Rink in Washington D.C. The seasonal ice rink was due for an upgrade and refurbishment. Berg manufactured and supplied a synthetic ice rink refrigeration system for the ice rink. The ice rink cooling system includes a skid mounted, indoor chiller with a water-cooled condenser capable of producing up to 75TR. This 75 ton ice rink chiller also features an energy efficient dual circuit design, control panel with touch screen HMI, insulation and electrical controls. After installation, Berg’s ice rink refrigeration service experts ensured that the system was operating smoothly by performing factory testing, start-up and commissioning.
