Process Cooling Solution for Vuteq Canada Inc.

In 2023, Berg Chilling Systems was contracted to supply a custom 154TR water-cooled chiller package to support the mould cooling loads for an injection machine production facility. This project required a robust and efficient cooling system to ensure consistent temperature control during the injection moulding process, critical for maintaining product quality and production efficiency.

Drawing on our extensive experience in water-cooled chiller systems, Berg Chilling Systems designed and delivered a comprehensive cooling package tailored to meet the client’s specific needs. The solution included:

• Chiller Specifications: A 154TR water-cooled chiller package charged with R449A refrigerant, featuring a dual circuited chiller for enhanced reliability and efficiency.
• Compressor and Condenser Configuration: The package included three semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors and three water-cooled condensers, ensuring robust and consistent cooling performance.
• Evaporator and Control Systems: A shell and tube evaporator paired with an electrical control panel and a centralized screen HMI for easy monitoring and precise control of the cooling process.
• Pumping and Filtration Systems: The system was equipped with a stainless steel tower tank and five centrifugal pumps, including four with variable frequency drives (VFDs) for energy-efficient operation. Additionally, the package included a Berg fine particle filtration system and a Berg chemical treatment system to maintain optimal water quality and system longevity.
• Additional Features: A stainless steel chiller tank with three centrifugal pumps (including two VFDs) was also provided, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
