In 2021, Berg had the opportunity to contribute to Spectra Aluminum’s expansion by designing and supplying a cooling tower with an accompanying tower pump skid for their new aluminum extrusion line.

This newly designed tower is engineered to provide sufficient cooling capacity for the new extrusion line. Additionally, it addresses and compensates for the limitations of the existing cooling tower. The current tower’s capabilities are limited to 146 tower Tons, operating under nominal conditions with entering and leaving water temperatures of 95°F and 85°F, respectively, at a wet bulb temperature of 78°F and a flow rate of 438 GPM. The new system by Berg is tailored to enhance efficiency and overcome the underperformance of the existing infrastructure.
