Meeting Atis Technologies’ Heating and Process Control Requirements

In 2024, Atis Technologies, a company focused on innovative industrial solutions, partnered with Berg to deliver a high-temperature heat pump system for a Canadian meat processor committed to sustainable production practices. The client required a powerful, custom-engineered solution that could:

• Operate with high efficiency in elevated temperature applications
• Integrate seamlessly with their preferred PLC system
• Maintain precise control and safety with robust instrumentation
• Meet stringent Canadian electrical and refrigeration standards

Berg's Tailored Solution

To meet these demands, Berg engineered and assembled a fully integrated high-temperature heat pump skid system:

• Four (4) 75 HP Compressors: Each driven by a 575V, 3-phase, Class F TEFC motor
• Refrigerant System: 400 lbs of R515B refrigerant charged into the custom circuit
• Heat Exchangers: Two evaporators and two condensers designed for high-efficiency performance
• Expansion Valves: 4 units for precise refrigerant control
• Electrical Panel: CSA-certified with mounted PLC (provided by Atis), integrated disconnect, and all components pre-wired by Berg
• High-Temperature Insulation: Engineered for safe and efficient operation up to 95°C
