In 2023, Berg achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully designing and supplying an outdoor ice rink chiller for the newly opened skating track in Officers’ Square, Fredericton.

Our comprehensive system features two robust 110HP (Nominal) Screw compressors, engineered to deliver exceptional performance. With a flow rate of 900 GPM and a cooling load capacity of 105 TR at -5°F leaving temperature, our system ensures the skating track stays perfectly frozen for optimal skating conditions, regardless of the weather. The entire system, from factory testing to installation, was meticulously handled by our dedicated team at Berg. We’ve also gone the extra mile by insulating our outdoor units with tough, UV-resistant coverings to protect against the harsh effects of ultraviolet rays, ensuring durability and long-term performance.
