Berg supplied and installed evaporator suction regulator valves to its ammonia refrigeration system for a produce distribution centre. The evaporators in the rooms were originally at freezing temperatures that were running a hot gas cycle. The rooms run above freezing temperature but coils were still at house suction below freezing. With the addition of a second pilot to the suction regulator, the defrost cycle for the refrigeration system was avoided entirely. This installation has saved energy costs. Scope of service included factory testing, installation and start-up.
