Whether you are building a rink or upgrading your mechanical room, you expect reliability, durability, and cost-saving operations. As experts in the ice rink refrigeration market for more than 45 years, Berg consistently provides excellent quality ice rink cooling systems for natural and synthetic refrigerants in the recreational ice industry.
In 2021, Berg had the opportunity to help Malvern Community Centre & Heron Park Community Centre in Ontario achieve its operational goals. An upgrade was due for the customer's aging chilling system. With the client's priorities in mind, Berg's refrigeration experts came up with a custom-designed ammonia ice rink chiller system that matched the client's exact requirements.
The ammonia refrigeration service featured the replacement of an old shell and tube chiller with a new built-up ammonia plate and frame chiller, replacement of an old Mycom compressor with a new M compressor package, a new brine pump, a new surge drum, relief piping system upgrades, full system ammonia pump-out and new ammonia charging.
